Refresh Sched throughout the Competition to see any last-minute changes
Sponsors, faculty, and students must check in at registration in person at the workshop during one of our registration windows. If you can’t make one, please reach out to Organizers so we are aware you will be arriving at an off time.
We live off of Feedback - Please consider providing it for sessions in which you participate
Navigating Sched - General:
Use the Schedule feature and filters to sign up for relevant sessions.
Each training session is categorized by Type (i.e. Event, Presentation, Roundtable, Training - Swimlane Grouped, Training & Workshops - School Grouped)
Event - These are required by everyone
Presentations - Each team should have 6 graded events on their schedule.
For the Engineering presentations, the entire team is encouraged to be in the presentation and should sign up for their session (for headcount purposes). Teams may not attend other team’s presentations.
If the team wants to have virtual participation, the teams are required to set up a Teams meeting. Send the Thermal and Module meeting notice to Ravi, the SW meeting notice to Ajay Suresh, and the BDU training notice to David. The main presenter for the slides shall be in the room. Individuals on the call may only answer questions.
For PMAC 1, only your team PM and Voc-D can enter the assessment area. Other teams not listed in the timeslot may not attend to view.
For PMAC 2, your PM and designated SME will need to be seated at the table. Your team is permitted to spectate but from the back of the room. Other teams not listed in the timeslot may not attend to view.
Training - Each team should determine which member goes to which session. All teams are required to have at least one member present for every session. All workshop attendees are required to attend on of the three trainings (or set up office hours with a sponsor).

The U.S. Department of Energy, through Argonne National Laboratory, provides overall competition management, team evaluation, and technical and logistical support for EcoCAR, the premier DOE-sponsored student vehicle competition. U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) launched its student vehicle competition program in 1988 to demonstrate and test technologies developed in laboratories. By combining the next generation of technical innovators with emerging advanced transportation technologies, the EcoCAR competition helps ensure a sustainable, environmentally responsible transportation future. DOE and its network of national laboratories maintain an aggressive research and development program in advanced vehicle technologies, including fuel cells, energy storage, hybrid systems, advanced materials, alternative fuels, and heat engines.
DOE continues to develop new technology to improve vehicle efficiency and lessen our dependence on foreign oil. Through the student vehicle competition program, over 30,000 students have received hands-on engineering experience and many of them have moved on to take jobs in the automotive industry, bringing with them an enthusiasm for advanced vehicle technologies.
